Two-Week-Old Infant Found Unconscious in Acre Home, Critical Condition
A two-week-old infant was discovered unconscious in a home in the city of Acre on Thursday morning. Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical teams responded to the scene, provided initial medical treatment, and transported the baby to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya while performing resuscitation efforts.
Dr. Omri Gurga, an MDA volunteer physician, and paramedic Salem Harika described the situation as "very difficult." They stated that upon arrival, they found the infant unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. Resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and medication administration, were immediately initiated. The infant was urgently evacuated to the hospital's trauma unit with advanced resuscitation continuing en route.
