Four-Month-Old Found Unconscious at Daycare in Gedera, Rushed to Hospital in Critical Condition
A four-month-old infant was found unconscious at a daycare center in Gedera and was immediately treated by paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA). Emergency medical technician Ran Manosis, one of the first responders, reported that the baby was without pulse and breathing upon arrival. The medical team performed advanced resuscitation efforts, including defibrillation, before transporting the infant to Kaplan Medical Center while continuing life-saving measures.
United Hatzalah volunteers also responded, confirming the infant was discovered unresponsive in the caregiver's bed and had not woken from an afternoon nap. They administered prolonged CPR and accompanied the baby to the hospital, where the condition remains critical.
This incident follows another emergency earlier the same day involving a one-year-old girl from a Haredi family who drowned in a private pool in Beit She'an. MDA paramedics found her unconscious and without vital signs, performed CPR including chest compressions and medication administration, and transported her to Emek Medical Center in critical condition with ongoing resuscitation efforts.
