One-Month-Old Infant in Mגדל Found Unresponsive, in Critical Condition
Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah were called today, Friday, to a home in Mגדל after a report that a one-month-old infant had not awakened from sleep. The baby was found unconscious in the crib, and responders immediately began lifesaving resuscitation efforts on arrival.
Paramedics and volunteers Sarah Lavel, Yitzhak Cohen, and Yinon Asher Elkam said they were told on scene that the infant had not woken up. They carried out advanced resuscitation until an intensive care ambulance arrived.
The infant was then evacuated to hospital while CPR continued, and his condition was described as critical. The family was left shocked and deeply worried by the incident.
Because of the sensitive and traumatic nature of the event, United Hatzalah’s emotional support teams also came to the home and provided psychological assistance to relatives and others present. The report underscores the need for parental vigilance and rapid medical response when infants show signs of distress.
