Month-Old Baby Critically Ill After Failing to Wake From Sleep

Union of Rescue medics performed resuscitation on a one-month-old baby who was found unconscious in his crib at home in Migdal, a settlement near Tiberias. According to the medics, the infant had not woken up from sleep when the call came in.

Sarah Leibel, Yitzhak Cohen, and Yinon Asher Elkayim, who are Union of Rescue EMTs, said they began CPR at the scene and continued until an intensive care ambulance arrived. The baby was then evacuated to hospital while resuscitation efforts continued.

The infant's condition was described as critical. Union of Rescue's resilience teams also responded at the scene because of the nature of the incident.
