Four-Month-Old Baby Dies After Emergency Rescue From Daycare in Gedera

A four-month-old infant was evacuated in critical condition from a daycare center in Gedera to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot on Wednesday afternoon but later died at the hospital. Ran Manosis, an emergency medical technician from Magen David Adom (MDA) who was among the first responders, described arriving to find the baby unconscious, without pulse or breathing. Advanced resuscitation efforts, including defibrillation, were performed on site and during transport to the hospital in an attempt to save the infant’s life.

Alex and Asia Sek, along with Nir Muki, paramedics from United Hatzalah, also responded and reported that the baby was found unresponsive in his bed and had not woken up from a nap. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, the infant was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

This tragic incident follows another earlier on Wednesday involving a one-year-old girl from a Haredi family who drowned in a pool at a private home in Beit Shean. MDA paramedics found her unconscious and without vital signs, performed CPR including chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration, and transported her to Emek Medical Center in critical condition while continuing resuscitation efforts.
