Four-Month-Old Baby in Critical Condition After Losing Consciousness at Gadera Daycare
Emergency teams were dispatched on Wednesday at 14:47 to a daycare center in Gadera following reports of a four-month-old infant who lost consciousness. Upon arrival, paramedics found the baby without pulse or breathing and immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including defibrillation. The infant was urgently transported to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot while still undergoing life-saving procedures.
Magen David Adom emergency medic Ran Manosis, one of the first responders, described the critical situation, noting the infant was brought to him unconscious and without vital signs. Medical teams continue to fight for the baby's life in the hospital, where his condition remains critical.
This incident follows several recent cases across Israel where infants lost consciousness while under the care of daycare providers or babysitters, often requiring prolonged resuscitation. A similar case occurred just weeks ago involving a three-month-old infant in Netivot who was also hospitalized in critical condition after losing consciousness with a caregiver. These events have raised significant concern among parents nationwide.
