Netanyahu's Lead Over Eisenkot Shrinks in New Poll

A new poll released by Channel 14 shows a tightening race for prime minister, with Gadi Eisenkot gaining ground on Benjamin Netanyahu. The survey indicates that if elections were held today, the right-wing bloc would still secure a majority with 63 seats, while the Likud party would strengthen to 32 mandates. Eisenkot's "Yashr" party would gain two seats, reaching 22 mandates and solidifying its position as the second-largest party.

Other parties saw shifts as well. Shas would gain one seat to 11, while the Democrats would increase to 9 seats. Naftali Bennett's "Beiteinu" party would lose two seats, dropping to 7, and United Torah Judaism would also fall to 7 seats. Religious Zionism and Zehut would maintain 7 seats each, as would the Joint List and Yisrael Beiteinu. Otzma Yehudit would lose two seats, falling to 6, and Ra'am would remain at 5 seats.

Below the electoral threshold, the Economic Reservists party held steady at 2.2%. Ofer Winter's "Am Israel" party saw a decline, falling from 2.6% to 1.9%. The ultra-Orthodox sector received 0.5%, Blue and White 0.3%, and Noam 0.1%.

In the head-to-head matchup for prime minister, Netanyahu still leads, but his advantage has narrowed. Netanyahu garnered 52% support compared to Eisenkot's 34%. The gap between them has shrunk to six percentage points, with 53% favoring Netanyahu and 47% favoring Eisenkot, a significant decrease from the previous poll where the difference was 14 points.
