New Poll Shows Gadi Eisenkot's Party Weakening, Netanyahu Recovers
A new Israeli election poll released by Channel 12 News indicates shifts in the political landscape, with the entry of new parties above the electoral threshold impacting the bloc opposing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the findings, Gadi Eisenkot's "Yash" party leads with 23 Knesset seats, but shows a declining trend compared to previous surveys. The Likud party follows with 20 seats, and Naftali Bennett's "Yachad" party secures 13 seats.
Further down the spectrum, Yisrael Beiteinu and HaDemocratim each receive 9 seats. Yahadut HaTorah garners 8 seats, while the Joint List and Shas obtain 7 seats apiece. Otzma Yehudit receives 6 seats, with the Religious Zionism Union and Zehut each getting 5 seats, the same number as the Ra'am party.
Two new parties, "Am Yisrael" led by Ofer Vinter and the Reservists Union-Handel-Zalicha coalition, surpass the electoral threshold, each gaining 4 seats. In terms of blocs, the anti-Netanyahu bloc holds 54 seats, compared to 50 seats for the pro-Netanyahu bloc. Arab parties collectively hold 12 seats.
