Massive Fire Engulfs Jerusalem Synagogue, Torah Scrolls Rescued
A large and unusually intense fire broke out in a synagogue in the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem on Tuesday. Powerful flames were visible from afar, prompting the deployment of over twenty emergency and rescue teams to the scene.
Initial fears of people being trapped inside the burning building were dispelled, as no casualties were reported. However, rescue teams managed to save several Torah scrolls from the blaze. The scrolls were recovered covered in soot and significantly damaged.
Distressing footage of the incident circulated widely, documenting the extent of the fire and the damage to the sacred texts. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
