Jerusalem Synagogue Fire Destroys Several Torah Scrolls
A significant fire broke out in a synagogue in the Sha'arei Pinna neighborhood of Jerusalem, sending plumes of smoke into the air. Firefighters from the Ha'Uma station responded to the scene, encountering a well-developed blaze upon arrival. Several Torah scrolls were destroyed in the fire.
Fire crews immediately began extinguishing the fire and working to gain control of the blaze. Simultaneously, firefighters conducted extensive searches of the building and its surroundings to ensure no one was trapped. The fire originated in the synagogue on the street, causing the destruction of multiple Torah scrolls housed within.
United Hatzalah reported that fortunately, there were no human casualties. Firefighting forces continued their efforts to extinguish the flames.
