Massive Fire Erupts in Jerusalem Neighborhood, Firefighters Battle Blaze

A large, developing fire broke out in the Sha'arei Pinna neighborhood of Jerusalem on Sunday, sending thick smoke billowing into the air. Emergency services received a report at their 102 hotline and dispatched reinforced units of firefighters from the Umot Ha'Uma station to the scene.

Upon arrival, the firefighters identified a very intense and widespread fire. They immediately began operations to extinguish the source of the blaze and work towards gaining control of the flames. Simultaneously, the fire crews are conducting extensive searches of the structure and its surroundings to locate and rule out the presence of anyone trapped.

The fire service released a photograph of the incident, noting the ongoing efforts to contain the situation.
