Large Fire Erupts Near Homes in Jerusalem, Firefighters Respond
Dozens of firefighting and rescue teams were dispatched to Jerusalem on Tuesday afternoon following a report of a large fire in an open area near the Ir Ganim neighborhood. The blaze, which ignited around 3 p.m. on Dr. Ringelblum Street, also known as Gan Ha'etz, is spreading through the open terrain.
Firefighters from the capital's station, supported by teams from the Jerusalem district, are currently working to contain the fire and prevent it from reaching nearby residential buildings. Efforts are focused on halting the fire's advance along its front.
At this time, there is no immediate danger to the public. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
