Torah Scrolls Rescued from Jerusalem Blaze
Firefighters in Jerusalem rescued several Torah scrolls from a temporary structure fire on Sha'arei Pinah Street on Wednesday evening. Fire crews conducted rapid searches of the building and confirmed no one was trapped inside.
During the firefighting operations, crews managed to extract a number of Torah scrolls from the burning structure. The condition of the rescued scrolls was described as "not easy."
Incident commander, Chief Superintendent Shai Nehemia of the Uma station, stated, "The firefighters acted with determination in the developing fire in the temporary structure and conducted rapid searches that ruled out the presence of trapped individuals. During the operations, the teams rescued several Torah scrolls from the fire."
