Recall Issued for "Niya Aquasweep S10" Pool Cleaner Due to Fire Hazard
Maytronics Ltd. has issued an urgent product recall for its black, rechargeable handheld pool cleaner, model Niya Aquasweep S10 (part number IL-9997301). The product, manufactured in China by Hongkong Yimu Technology Limited / Lydsto, was sold in Israel between April 23, 2026, and August 14, 2026.
A failure investigation by the manufacturer revealed that some units have a compromised casing strength. This defect can lead to cracks, water ingress into the motor unit, and potentially cause electrical shorts, overheating, and a risk of fire. Maytronics is instructing all owners of the affected product to immediately cease using and charging the device.
Until the device is collected by the importer, consumers are advised to store it in a dry, ventilated area, away from flammable materials and out of reach of children. Customers are urged to contact Maytronics to arrange for product pickup, inquire further, and receive appropriate compensation or resolution. The recall was coordinated with the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry's Standardization Authority.
