Lorenzo Brown Nears Deal with Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club
American basketball player Lorenzo Brown, 36, is reportedly close to signing a contract with Hapoel Jerusalem until the end of the season. The deal is expected to include an option for the club to terminate the contract after a few months. Brown previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos before leaving Israel.
Last season, Brown participated in 12 EuroLeague games for Milan, averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 assists per game. His best performance was against his former team, Panathinaikos, where he scored 17 points and provided five assists.
The potential signing comes as Hapoel Jerusalem faces a roster gap due to an injury to guard Jared Harper, who is expected to be sidelined for two to four months after thumb surgery. Brown's addition would bolster the team's backcourt.
The team, coached by Sasa Obradovic, is looking to strengthen its lineup for the upcoming season.
