Lorenzo Brown Nears Deal with Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club
American basketball player Lorenzo Brown, 36, is on the verge of signing a contract with Hapoel Jerusalem, according to reports. The deal is expected to be through the end of the season, with the club holding an option to terminate the agreement after a few months.
Brown previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv before leaving Israel. Last season, he participated in 12 EuroLeague games for Milan, averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 assists per game. He also had a stint with Panathinaikos.
The potential signing comes as Hapoel Jerusalem's guard Jared Harper is sidelined for an estimated two to four months due to a thumb injury. Brown's most notable performance last season was against his former team, Panathinaikos, where he scored 17 points and provided five assists.
The club, coached by Sasa Obradovic, is looking to strengthen its roster with Brown's experience.
