Hapoel Jerusalem Pursues Ex-Portland Guard Shaquille Harrison
Hapoel Jerusalem, a basketball team from the Israeli capital, has reportedly reached out to former Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaquille Harrison as they seek a replacement for the injured Jared Harper for the upcoming season. However, the team was informed that Harrison intends to compete for a spot in the NBA through upcoming training camps.
Harrison, who is recovering from a lengthy injury sustained last season, averaged 4.8 points and two assists per game for Portland. Prior to his time with the Trail Blazers, he played three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, where he was teammates with Victor Wembanyama and Deni Avdija. Harrison's career-high game involved scoring 12 points in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
Another player reportedly on Hapoel Jerusalem's radar is Lorenzo Brown, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv player who is not in Milan's professional plans and has requested to be released. Agents have indicated to Sport 5 that Hapoel Jerusalem is currently focused on acquiring a player for a short-term contract of only a few months.
