Hapoel Jerusalem is actively seeking a replacement for the injured Jared Harper and has identified Lorenzo Brown, a familiar name to Israeli basketball fans, as a potential candidate. Brown, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, is reportedly not in the plans of his current Italian team, Olimpia Milano, and is looking to be released from his contract.

Brown signed a two-year deal with Milano last summer, but after failing to integrate and missing the start of training camp, he is eager to leave immediately. He recently tweeted, "Let me go," which is believed to be his first public comment on the situation. Italian reports indicate that while the team does not want him and he wants to find a new club, the contract termination is stalled over financial terms. Discussions are ongoing regarding a mutual agreement, possibly involving a 50% salary cut, but no consensus has been reached yet. Milano's roster is complete, but Brown's situation remains unresolved.

Brown played for Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2022 to 2024 before moving to Panathinaikos. His performance in the current season has been subpar, averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 assists in 12 EuroLeague games.
