Lorenzo Brown Eyed by Hapoel Jerusalem as Harper Replacement

Hapoel Jerusalem is reportedly considering Lorenzo Brown, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv player, as a potential replacement for the injured guard Jarred Harper. Brown, who previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2022 to 2024, is currently under contract with Italian club Olimpia Milano but is not in their plans.

Brown signed a two-year deal with Milano last summer and is seeking to be released from his contract early. He has reportedly expressed frustration on social media about his situation, tweeting "Let me go." The Italian club is reportedly unwilling to keep him, and he is eager to find a new team.

The main obstacle to Brown's release appears to be financial, with discussions ongoing regarding a contract termination agreement. Reports suggest a potential 50% salary cut might be agreed upon, but no consensus has been reached yet. Milano's roster is considered complete, but Brown's situation remains unresolved.

Brown left Maccabi Tel Aviv for Panathinaikos last season but struggled to replicate his previous form. In 12 EuroLeague games for Panathinaikos during the 2024-25 season, he averaged 5.8 points and 2.7 assists per game, which was considered a weak performance.

While Hapoel Jerusalem is considering Brown, no official offer has been made at this time, and the team is still evaluating his candidacy.
