Police Arrest Three Suspects in Mass School Tablet Theft Ring
Israeli police have arrested three suspects believed to be part of a ring that burglarized six schools in southern Israel and stole hundreds of tablets intended for students. The arrests occurred on Highway 6 near Kiryat Malachi.
The investigation, led by the Lahish District Police over the past month, focused on break-ins at educational institutions in Nitzanim, Beit Hanan, Beer Ganim, and Emunim. Hundreds of tablets were stolen from these schools.
During the operation, police identified the suspects traveling north towards the Sharon region. Detectives from Lahish District, officers from Kiryat Malachi station, and Border Police from the South intercepted and apprehended them.
The suspects, identified as residents of the Bedouin diaspora in the south, have been transferred to Kiryat Malachi police station for further interrogation. Authorities are investigating their potential involvement in other property crimes in the region, and the investigation is ongoing.
