Three Arrested in Southern Israel for Stealing Hundreds of Tablets from Schools
Police in southern Israel have arrested three Bedouin residents on suspicion of involvement in a series of burglaries targeting educational institutions. The arrests were made on Highway 6 near Kiryat Malakhi following an investigation by the Lahish District Police over the past month. The suspects are believed to be responsible for at least six break-ins at schools in the southern communities of Nitzanim, Beit Hanan, Be'er Gan, and Amonim.
During these burglaries, hundreds of tablets used by students were allegedly stolen. The suspects were apprehended during an operational activity while traveling towards the Sharon region. They were taken to the Kiryat Malakhi police station for further questioning.
Authorities are currently investigating the extent of their involvement and are examining whether they may be connected to additional incidents. The operation involved detectives from the Lahish District, officers from the Kiryat Malakhi station, and Border Police from the southern district.
