Health Ministry Halts Use of Similac Batch in Hospitals
Israel's Ministry of Health has ordered a halt to the use of a specific batch of Similac formula intended solely for hospital use, following a single complaint received Tuesday evening. The affected batch, number 89203N201, is clearly marked on the bottom of the bottle and is not sold in retail stores.
Currently, this is an isolated incident with no reports of adverse medical conditions. The manufacturer, Abbott, is working to supply an alternative batch to hospitals.
The directive applies exclusively to this particular batch, and there are no restrictions on other Similac batches.
