Israeli Man Killed in West Bank Shooting Attack Near Neve Tzuf

On the morning of September 20, a shooting attack occurred near the settlement of Neve Tzuf (also known as Halamish) in the Benjamin region of the West Bank. A terrorist opened fire on Israelis near the Ein Raya spring, located outside the settlement's perimeter fence. Initially, one man, approximately 30 years old, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was evacuated in critical condition to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. Another individual required treatment for acute stress. However, the injured man later succumbed to his wounds. The terrorist reportedly arrived at the spring by car, opened fire, exited the vehicle with a weapon, and fled on foot.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale manhunt for the assailant, deploying numerous units, including the Benjamin regional brigade, the Duvdevan special forces unit, additional army units, and police. Checkpoints were established throughout the area, and forces are conducting ground searches aided by drones, with air force assets also mobilized. Roads have been blocked as the search continues.

The Ein Raya spring area, also known as Ein Tzuf, is situated outside Neve Tzuf and has been a site of past confrontations and protests involving residents from a neighboring Palestinian village. As of the time of reporting, the terrorist had not been apprehended, and security forces were continuing to comb the area and block potential escape routes. The commander of the Judea and Samaria police district, Moshe Pinchy, and the commander of the Samaria district, Avi Cohen, were present at the scene.
