West Bank Shooting Victim Dies, Gunman Captured Alive
A man critically wounded in a shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region has died from his injuries, Israeli medical officials confirmed on Tuesday. The victim was evacuated in grave condition to a hospital, but doctors were unable to save him.
Minutes after the attack, a tracker from the Binyamin Brigade engaged the assailant, wounding him and causing him to flee the scene. Following the incident, the Israel Defense Forces launched an extensive manhunt for the suspect, involving ground searches, roadblocks, and aerial support from drones and Air Force assets.
The joint security forces operation, guided by the Shin Bet and commanded by the Binyamin Brigade, ultimately led to the capture of the wounded gunman. Duvdevan unit fighters apprehended the suspect alive at a nearby hospital where he had sought refuge.
