Armed Terrorist Opens Fire Near Israeli Settlement, Flees; Air Force Assists in Manhunt
An armed terrorist opened fire from a moving vehicle towards a spring near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region of the West Bank on Sunday before fleeing the scene on foot. Large Israeli security forces, including the Duvdevan Unit, additional reinforcement companies, and the Israel Police, immediately launched an extensive manhunt for the assailant.
The shooting targeted civilians at the spring. Security forces were rapidly deployed to provide operational and medical response. Following the attack, roadblocks were established throughout the Benjamin region as part of the intensified search efforts.
Israeli soldiers are conducting ground searches and utilizing advanced drones to track the suspect. Additionally, Israeli Air Force aircraft have been deployed to assist in the aerial search and to help corner and apprehend the terrorist. The IDF stated that numerous forces initiated the wide-ranging pursuit after the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack from a passing vehicle.
