Prominent Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach, Leader in Tel Aviv, Dies at 84
Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach, a respected community rabbi in Tel Aviv and son of the late Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, passed away at the age of 84. Born in Jerusalem in 1942, Rabbi Auerbach moved to Tel Aviv after his marriage and became the rabbi of the "Abir Yaakov" community of the Sadigura Hasidic dynasty in the city.
Over the years, Rabbi Auerbach cultivated a devoted community that included many individuals returning to religious observance. He was recognized as a rabbinic authority and halachic decisor, frequently consulted by many for religious rulings, advice, and blessings.
Rabbi Auerbach maintained a close connection with the "Ma'ale Eliyahu" yeshiva in Tel Aviv, visiting often. His last visit to the yeshiva occurred just two weeks prior to his passing.
