Prominent Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach's Health Declines, Moved to Intensive Care
Deep concern has spread through the Torah world following a significant decline in the health of Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach, the revered rabbi of the 'Abir Yaakov' community in Tel Aviv. Rabbi Auerbach was recently transferred to an intensive care unit at Ichilov Hospital.
He had been hospitalized before Rosh Hashanah due to severe pneumonia. In recent days, his close associates and community members had been anxiously monitoring his condition. However, his medical indicators worsened significantly in the past few hours, necessitating his urgent transfer for advanced medical treatment.
Rabbi Auerbach is described as a remnant of a generation of scholars and a righteous man. A prayer rally was held earlier today at the grave of his father, the renowned Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach. His students are scheduled to hold another prayer gathering tonight at midnight before reciting the "Thirteen Attributes of Mercy" during Selichot.
The public is urged to pray for the complete recovery of Rabbi Mordechai ben Chaya Rivka, among all the sick of Israel.
