Modzitz Rebbe Hospitalized Briefly, Returns for Rosh Hashanah Services
The Modzitz Rebbe, Rabbi Chaim Shaul Taub, was taken to Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak on Rosh Hashanah eve after experiencing general weakness. His transfer to the hospital was on the advice of his physicians, and he was admitted overnight for comprehensive tests.
Following stabilization of his condition and normal test results, the Rebbe was discharged early Thursday morning. Despite the incident and noticeable weakness, he returned to the large study hall of the Hasidic community by 7:00 AM. Approximately 25 minutes later, he led the morning prayers (Shacharit).
Throughout the holiday, the Rebbe insisted on continuing to lead the prayers and served as the cantor for the morning and additional (Musaf) services attended by the Hasidim. The Hasidic community is calling on the public to continue praying for his recovery. His Hebrew name for prayers is Chaim Shaul ben Bayla Rachel.
