Prayer Campaign Launched for 94-Year-Old Kabbalist in Critical Condition
Rabbi Rahamim Attia, one of the senior figures at the Nehar Shalom yeshiva of Kabbalah in Jerusalem, was hospitalized in serious condition after resuscitation and is now in intensive care. He was taken to Shaarei Zedek Medical Center on Friday evening after collapsing at home in Jerusalem.
The 94-year-old was reported to be sedated and on a ventilator, with his condition described as severe and requiring “great mercy from Heaven.” During Shabbat, doctors said there was slight improvement and some stabilization, but his condition remained critical.
His son-in-law, former Sephardi chief rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, came to the hospital on Friday and urged the public to pray for his recovery. The article calls on the public to increase prayers and plead for divine mercy for Rabbi Rahamim ben Jamila for a complete recovery, together with all other ill people in Israel.
