Jerusalem rabbi Rahamim Attia remains in critical condition after resuscitation
Rabbi Rahamim Attia, 94, one of the leading figures at the Naher Shalom yeshiva of Kabbalah in Jerusalem, is hospitalized at Shaare Zedek Medical Center after being resuscitated. He is sedated and on a ventilator, and his condition is still described as serious.
On Friday, his son-in-law Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, chairman of the Council of Torah Sages and a former chief rabbi of Israel, visited him and recited Psalms at his bedside. During Shabbat, Attia’s condition improved somewhat, but doctors still classify him as critical.
The public has been asked to pray for the recovery of Rabbi Rahamim ben Jamila, among the other sick people of Israel.
