Singer Yonatan Razel has been discharged from Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center and returned home more than two weeks after being hospitalized in serious condition, his family said Friday.
The family expressed gratitude, saying, “We are full of gratitude to the Holy One, blessed be He, for the open miracles He has granted us.” They also thanked the public in Israel for its prayers and concern, and offered special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Shaare Zedek for their dedicated care.
The hospital said Razel left “in good condition” after several weeks in the hospital following a brain hemorrhage. It added that the prompt diagnosis and professional treatment he received upon arrival, along with the support provided throughout his stay, enabled him to return to full, normal functioning.
Shaare Zedek congratulated Razel and his family on his discharge and wished him full health and continued creativity in Israeli culture. Earlier this month, it was reported that the 53-year-old singer had been hospitalized at Shaare Zedek for several days because of the hemorrhage, and his family had asked the public to pray for his recovery. Razel is considered one of the leading voices in Jewish and faith-based music in Israel, with songs such as “Vehi She’amda” and “K’toneti” helping him reach broad audiences.
