Singer Yonatan Razel, 53, was discharged this morning, Friday, from Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, about two and a half weeks after a stroke put his life in danger. He is said to have left the hospital in good condition and has returned to full functioning.
Razel had been hospitalized for several weeks after suffering a brain hemorrhage. When news of his condition became public, his family asked the public to pray for him, describing him as one of the most influential figures in Jewish music.
His family said they were "full of gratitude" to God for the apparent miracles and thanked the people of Israel for their prayers and concern. They also gave special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and other staff at Shaare Zedek for their dedicated care.
The hospital said Razel's treatment included extensive supportive care from its brain unit teams, including the neurological intensive care unit, neuro-radiology staff, and neurosurgery department. Shaare Zedek added that because of the rapid and professional diagnosis and treatment he received on arrival, and the support provided throughout his stay, he was able to return to normal full functioning.
