Israeli Singer Yonatan Razel Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Stroke

Israeli singer and composer Yonatan Razel is currently hospitalized at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in critical condition following a stroke. Razel was admitted several days ago due to a brain hemorrhage. According to the hospital, he remains conscious and is receiving comprehensive medical treatment. His family has expressed gratitude for the many prayers and asked the public to continue praying for his recovery, while requesting privacy and declining media interviews.

Razel, born in New York and immigrated to Israel at a young age, divides his time between Torah study and musical creation. He studied classical music from childhood, learning piano, cello, composition, and conducting. After serving as a distinguished musician in the IDF, he pursued conducting studies and worked with the Israeli Chamber Orchestra and the Ra'anana Symphony Orchestra, also performing internationally.

In 2008, Razel released a renewed version of the song "Vehi She'amda," which he composed and arranged, performing it as a duet with Hasidic singer Yaakov Shwekey. The song achieved widespread success and has been covered by many artists. His family shared a prayer for his healing, invoking Psalm 121 and asking for divine protection during this difficult time.
