Singer Yonatan Razel, 53, was discharged this morning, Friday, from Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center about two and a half weeks after suffering a stroke that initially put his life in danger. He had been hospitalized for several weeks because of a brain hemorrhage, and the hospital said he has now returned to full, normal functioning.
Razel’s family said they were “full of gratitude to the Holy One, blessed be He, for the visible miracles,” and thanked the Israeli public for its prayers and concern. They also expressed special appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Shaare Zedek for their devoted care.
When news of his condition first became public, his family asked people to pray for him. Shaare Zedek said his treatment included extensive supportive care by the hospital’s brain teams, including the neuro-intensive care unit, neuro-radiology staff, and the neurosurgery ward. The hospital added that because of the rapid, professional diagnosis and treatment he received on arrival, and the continuous care throughout his stay, he is now back to regular full functioning.
