Prominent Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach Hospitalized, Public Urged to Pray
Rabbi Mordechai Auerbach, the chief rabbi of the 'Abir Yaakov' community in Tel Aviv and president of 'Taharat HaMishpacha', has been hospitalized at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and is in need of prayers for his recovery. Sources reported that the rabbi was admitted last week due to pneumonia, following a prolonged period of general weakness. He had reportedly participated in the Selichot prayers and led services in his synagogue earlier in the week. However, on Wednesday of last week, he was taken to the hospital, where he remained throughout the Rosh Hashanah holiday. Family members and students who had come to be with him for Rosh Hashanah stayed by his side at the hospital. They are requesting prayers for his complete recovery and strengthening of his health. The public is asked to pray for the complete healing of Rabbi Mordechai ben Chaya Rivka, among all the sick of Israel.
