Prayers in Brisk as Yeshiva Head Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Is Hospitalized

May it be God’s will to preserve the wise of Israel: Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Soloveitchik, the head of Brisk Yeshiva, was hospitalized today at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, and is in need of abundant divine mercy. B’Chadrei Charedim learned that the 76-year-old rosh yeshiva was taken to the hospital this morning, immediately after the Torah reading.

Last week, the rosh yeshiva underwent heart surgery at one of the hospitals in central Israel, performed by a specialist doctor who came from abroad. Following the operation, his condition worsened, and he is in need of abundant divine mercy. Among Brisk students there is concern over his condition, and they refuse to provide details about his exact state.

At the yeshiva hall, chapters of Psalms were recited today at 7:00 p.m., by instruction of his son, Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Soloveitchik, one of the yeshiva’s leaders. The public was called upon to pray and arouse abundant heavenly mercy for the recovery of Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua ben Atill, for a complete recovery.
