Brisk Yeshiva Head Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Soloveitchik Released Home After Serious Illness

After weeks of hospitalization and widespread prayers across the Jewish world, Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Soloveitchik, head of the Brisk Yeshiva, was discharged from the hospital yesterday. He had been admitted due to a severe medical deterioration that required urgent intensive care treatment. Although doctors had considered releasing him last week, his condition worsened suddenly, necessitating immediate transfer to the ICU where his condition was stabilized after several days.

In recent days, significant improvement allowed doctors to approve his release for continued recovery at home. Close associates emphasize that Rabbi Soloveitchik remains very weak and requires complete rest, so he will not return to teaching or delivering his renowned lessons in the near future.

During his illness, massive prayer gatherings took place both in Israel and the diaspora, including a moving event last Saturday night at the Western Wall attended by thousands of students, alumni, and Brisk rabbis. A special prayer assembly was held last night at the yeshiva, and another is scheduled for tomorrow at Rachel's Tomb. The community continues to call for prayers for his full recovery so he can resume his Torah leadership in good health.
