Netanyahu Cuts US Trip Short, Cancels Musk Meeting
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has shortened his visit to the United States, which was part of his trip for the UN General Assembly. He has canceled a planned meeting with billionaire Elon Musk that was scheduled to take place in Texas. Members of the Israeli delegation had already arrived in Texas to prepare for the meeting, but were informed of the cancellation on Tuesday.
Instead of arriving on Wednesday, speaking on Thursday, and returning to Israel, Netanyahu will now arrive in New York on Thursday morning. He is scheduled to speak at 2:00 PM New York time and will depart for home the same evening. The prime minister will also not meet with President Donald Trump during this trip.
