IDF Says Hamas Sniper Operative Who Worked for Al Jazeera Was Killed in Central Gaza
The IDF said it killed Ahmad Samir Muhammad Wshaah, a Hamas militant who also worked as a photographer for Al Jazeera. According to the military spokesman, Wshaah was killed in the central Gaza Strip.
The IDF said he was not only a camera operator but also a sniper operative in Hamas's military wing. It said he was killed alongside two other Hamas militants.
The spokesman added that over recent years, while employed by Al Jazeera, Wshaah was active in Hamas's armed wing. In recent days, he had promoted sniper plans and other attacks against IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip.
