Kfar Qassem Man Charged with Assaulting Ex-Wife, Threatening Her Family
An indictment has been filed against a man in his 30s from the Arab town of Kfar Qassem, in central Israel, for threatening and assaulting his estranged wife. The investigation was launched last week following a report of a man attempting to force a woman into a vehicle, using violence, and smashing a car window with a concrete slab.
According to the investigation's findings, the couple is separated. The suspect allegedly approached the woman near the college where she studies with their minor children, attempting to persuade her to return to him. When she refused, he is suspected of assaulting her, choking her, lifting her, and trying to force her into his car while she struggled to escape.
Simultaneously, he allegedly threatened her, saying, "If you don't come with me, I will kill your brothers, shoot them, and kidnap you to the territories." Police quickly located and arrested the suspect using technological means. Following the investigation, the Central District's prosecution unit filed the indictment for the offenses attributed to him.
