Man Charged in Kfar Qasem for Assaulting Ex-Wife, Threatening Her Family
Israeli police announced on September 17, 2026, that an indictment has been filed against a man in his thirties from Kfar Qasem. He is accused of violently assaulting his ex-wife, threatening to kill her, and attempting to kidnap her.
The incident began the previous week when police received a report of a man attempting to force a woman into a vehicle in Kfar Qasem, using physical violence and smashing a car window with a concrete block. Investigations revealed that the suspect met with the victim, bringing their minor children in an attempt to persuade her to return to him. When she refused, he allegedly attacked her, choked her, and tried to force her into the car.
During the confrontation, the suspect reportedly threatened his ex-wife, saying, "If you don't come with me, I will kill your brothers, I will shoot them, and I will kidnap you to the West Bank." Police successfully located and arrested the suspect. The indictment includes the charges against him.
