Man Charged With Attempted Kidnapping, Assault of Estranged Wife in Kfar Qassem
Police in Kfar Qassem have filed charges against a man in his 30s for assaulting and threatening his estranged wife in front of their children. The incident occurred last week when the suspect drove to the college where his wife studies and attempted to persuade her to reconcile.
When she refused, the man allegedly attacked her violently, attempting to force her into his car. He is accused of choking her, lifting her to abduct her, and threatening to kill her siblings and kidnap her to "the territories." He also reportedly smashed a concrete slab against the car window.
The victim managed to escape after the struggle and was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. Police launched an investigation after receiving a report of the attempted abduction and assault. Through rapid investigative work and technological means, officers identified and arrested the suspect.
The Central District Attorney's Unit filed the indictment against him based on the investigation's findings, charging him with the offenses attributed to him.
