Israeli Man Faces Serious Charges for Domestic Violence and Reckless Driving

An Israeli man from northern Israel has been indicted on multiple serious charges including domestic violence, reckless driving, and threats against his wife and her father. The couple, married for about 15 years with five children, had ongoing conflicts that led the wife to move to her parents' home in another town. A few weeks ago, after the wife was denied permission to take their children out, she and her father went to pick up their two-year-old twins from daycare. The husband confronted them, forcibly took the children, and when the wife tried to stop him, he pushed her, shut the car door on her, and drove off, running over her leg and causing injuries requiring hospital treatment. He also threatened the wife and her father, saying, "I will show you what it is, I will kill you." On another occasion, during a domestic dispute, the man threatened his wife with a kitchen knife by pressing it to her neck, but left after the children woke and began crying. The indictment includes charges of reckless driving, simple assault against a spouse, and two counts of threats. The case was filed recently in Nazareth Magistrate's Court by the Israeli Police prosecution department.
