Israel Braces for Heatwave with Above-Average Temperatures
Israel is set to experience a day of clear skies and significantly higher than average temperatures across most regions. The heat is expected to be particularly intense in mountainous areas and inland, while coastal regions will feel humid. Extreme heat load conditions are forecast for the Sea of Galilee, Dead Sea, Jordan Valley, and the Arava desert.
The solar radiation index is predicted to be high to very high. The Mediterranean Sea will be calm to moderately wavy, with waves ranging from 30 to 60 centimeters.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 32°C in Jerusalem, 31°C in Tel Aviv and Haifa, 36°C in the Golan Heights (Katzrin) and Nazareth, and 39°C in Beit She'an. The southern city of Eilat will see the highest temperatures, reaching up to 41°C, while the desert town of Mitzpe Ramon will experience a high of 34°C. Overnight lows will remain mild, with temperatures generally in the low to mid-20s Celsius.
