Israel Braces for Continued Heatwave Before Weekend Temperature Drop

Israel is expected to experience another day of significantly high temperatures on Wednesday, with little change from Tuesday's weather. Daytime highs will remain above the seasonal average, particularly in mountainous regions and inland areas. Cities like Jerusalem will see highs of 32°C (90°F), while Eilat could reach 40°C (104°F). Tel Aviv and Haifa will experience highs around 31-32°C (88-90°F).

Thursday will bring slightly cooler weather, especially in the mountains, though temperatures will still be higher than usual for this time of year. The forecast for Friday indicates partly cloudy skies with a noticeable drop in temperatures, particularly inland and in the mountains, where they will return to seasonal norms. Local rain is possible in northern and central Israel, accompanied by strengthening winds.

Over the weekend, specifically on Shabbat Shuva, conditions will remain partly cloudy with a further slight decrease in temperatures. Light, scattered rain or drizzle is possible along the coastal plain during the morning hours.
