Maccabi Tel Aviv is expected to announce by Monday that Kenny Miller will remain head coach for the 2026/27 season. Miller, who took over near the end of last season after the Rony Deila affair, will stay in charge and continue on the touchline.
The Scottish coach’s first major role as a head coach came at Maccabi Tel Aviv, after working at several clubs alongside Deila before arriving in Israel. In seven matches on the bench, he led the team to three wins, two draws and two defeats.
His victories included a 4-0 win over Hapoel Petah Tikva, a 3-0 win over Maccabi Haifa and a 2-1 victory over Hapoel Beersheba in the State Cup final. That cup triumph also secured Maccabi Tel Aviv a place in the Europa League qualifying rounds.
The decision to keep Miller was influenced by the collapse of other candidates, his cup success and his familiarity with the current squad. He has already held two interviews, and he is aware that Dor Peretz may leave while Roy Revivo is determined to move abroad.
