Kenny Miller is expected to be appointed Maccabi Tel Aviv’s full-time head coach for the coming season after leading the club to the 2026 State Cup title. Scottish media also reported this morning that he will remain in charge, reinforcing the expectation that his interim spell is about to become permanent.
Miller served as assistant to Ronny Deila and took over as caretaker manager after the Norwegian’s sudden departure. The cup win gave him a major advantage heading into next season, but Maccabi delayed any final decision until a sporting director was hired.
After Steven Van Naren was appointed to that role, he became involved in the coaching search and held Zoom meetings with Miller as well as other candidates. In the end, Miller, who is said to have connected well with the players at Maccabi Tel Aviv, is the one expected to get the job.
If the move is finalized as expected, Miller will be on the pitch Monday for the opening training session.
