Maccabi Tel Aviv are still searching for their head coach for next season, and Kenny Miller has become one of the final candidates to stay in the role. The club is expected to make its decision by Monday, after a Zoom call between Miller and the new sporting director, Steven Vanhaeren.
Miller had not been considered earlier in the process, but he is now in the frame because he already knows the squad from last season and because the club is running short on time. According to the report, at least three other coaches have been interviewed, and some candidates, including one who was close to signing, dropped out after the latest round of fighting with Iran.
The 46-year-old Scot joined Maccabi Tel Aviv as part of Ronnie Deila’s staff when Deila was appointed in February 2026. Three months later, after a complaint was filed against Deila, he left the club and Miller took over as head coach for the final part of the season.
Under Miller, Maccabi Tel Aviv won the State Cup, beating Hapoel Be’er Sheva 2-1 in the final. The club is now weighing whether to keep him in charge for another season or appoint someone else before Monday’s deadline.
