Maccabi Tel Aviv officially appointed Scottish coach Kenny Miller as its head coach for the coming season, with an option for an additional year. Miller had already taken over on the touchline at the end of last season after replacing Ronny Deila, and the club confirmed the move on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
Miller joined Maccabi in January 2026 as part of the senior team’s coaching staff and later served as interim coach during the playoff matches. After signing, he said, “It is a great honor for me to be appointed head coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv. From the moment I arrived at the club, I felt the passion, ambition and expectations that make Maccabi such a special place. I thank Mitch Goldhar, Jack Angelidis, Stephen and Warnehorn, and everyone at the club for their trust, and I look forward to continuing to work with the players and staff toward the challenges ahead.”
Owner Mitch Goldhar said Miller had earned “appreciation and respect” since joining in January because of his professionalism, work ethic and understanding of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s standards, ambitions and values. Sporting director Stephen Warnehorn said the appointment fit the club’s direction and goals for the coming seasons, which include a professional approach based on high-level performance, adaptability and a style of play.
