After weeks of rumors, Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced that Kenny Miller has been appointed head coach, replacing Ronny Deila after the end of last season and the affair surrounding the club’s previous coach. The club also revealed the full coaching staff for the 2026/27 season.
The most notable addition is Stuart Taylor, who was not on the staff last season and will serve as Miller’s assistant. The 51-year-old Scot played as a midfielder in a professional career of more than 200 appearances, including spells with St Mirren, Airdrieonians, Partick Thistle, St Johnstone, Ross County, Hamilton Academical and Drogheda United in Ireland.
After retiring, Taylor moved into coaching and held roles at Hamilton Academical, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Stoke City, Ipswich, Dundee and Al Khor in Qatar. He also had two spells as a head coach, at Limerick and Hamilton Academical.
The club said Dean Kiely will remain as goalkeeper coach, while Avi Rikan will also stay on the coaching staff for the coming season.
